Camp next door to Evans Plunge and just minutes from downtown Hot Springs, South Dakota! The campground at Highland Meadows Resort features nine campsites each with a private fire pit and picnic table.

Six tent sites and three RV pull-through spaces with electricity, flush toilets, shower w/ hot water, and potable water onsite.

Tent Campsites

​Our tent camping sites are situated on a private mesa in Hot Springs, SD. Highland Meadows Resort is located next door to Evans Plunge, a mile from Chautauqua Park, five minutes from the Mammoth Site, 10 minutes from Wind Cave, and 15 minutes from Cascade Falls.
 

There's also a common area near the campsite perfect for larger gatherings, corn hole, and other activities.

Sleeps 4-12 per site

  • 120V (20Amp) at each site​

  • Flushable toilets

  • Shower w/ hot water

  • Potable water onsite

  • Picnic tables at each site

  • Fire pits at each site

RV Sites

​Our pull-through RV camping sites are situated on a private mesa in Hot Springs, SD. Highland Meadows Resort is located next door to Evans Plunge, a mile from Chautauqua Park, five minutes from the Mammoth Site, 10 minutes from Wind Cave, and 15 minutes from Cascade Falls.

There's also a common area in this RV park that's perfect for larger gatherings, corn hole, and other activities.​

The campground at Highland Meadows

Looking for centralized places to camp in the Black Hills? Perfect. We're fifteen minutes north of Cascade Falls and 35 minutes south of Custer State Park. Camping at the start or end of a biking trip? Perfect. We're located near one of the southern trailheads of the George S. Mickelson Trail. Looking for a tent site near Wind Cave? We're just ten minutes away.

A few campground FAQs

Does the campground have potable water?

Yes! There's a potable ​water spigot near the restrooms and one at each RV site.

What's the restroom situation?

There's one dedicated restroom for men and one for women. There's also a third restroom that's a bit larger (for either gender, or families).

Do the sites have fire pits?

Each campsite has a fire pit and there's firewood onsite available for purchase. 

Is there any power at the campground?

Each tent campsite has a 20amp power station for your convenience. 

What's includee with the RV hookups?

RV sites have water and 50 amp power. There are no sewer connections at this moment.
